Plan Your Graduation Party With Tasty Table
Graduation is such a busy time of year! Vacations are being planned, parties are being scheduled, and everyone
has somewhere to be! Spring is here and the possible graduation party dates you had picked out are slowly being
taken by all the other graduates in the area! This means caterers are being booked, party rentals are selling out,
and the guests you were hoping would attend are committing to other parties. How do you maximize attendance when
there's so much to do in so little time? We have some tips we'd like to offer!
1. Plan Early!
No one wants to throw a graduation party on the same date as someone else. It's always a disappointment when friends
and family can't attend because they're jumping around between 4 or 5 parties on the same day. Make sure you plan with
your guests and friend group ahead of time to prevent this.
2. Pick a Date Before Graduation
We suggest 4-5 weeks before graduation. After graduation, everyone is ready to go on vacation and senior trips! You
don't want that getting in the way of your guest count. Not to mention, it's kind of like throwing a belated birthday
party. You know that feeling when you get a card with no money inside? Kind of like that.
3. Call Your Favorite Caterer Immediately!
Once a date is secured, call your favorite caterer immediately! Companies like Tasty Table book out in advance.
You don't want to have to pick a back up option because you didn't book your date.
4. We Love E-Vites!
You'll be able to get your invitations out quickly and your guests will be automatically reminded when the party date
is approaching. Make sure you send out the initial invitations 21 days in advance. The reminder can be set to go out
10 days before the party. This also makes it easier to obtain a final head count. Caterers like Tasty Table need the
final head count 7 days in advance.
Our next blog will be on how to manage guests and food when hosting a back yard or pool party catered event.
